In the mountains of Western North Carolina, Graham County just proved that rural communities can land game-changing opportunities.
Eco King Solutions, an international company that produces biodegradable paper tableware and food service containers, announced plans to invest $80.5 million in a new manufacturing facility in Robbinsville, NC. Even better, the project will create 515 new jobs in Graham County, transforming the future of this part of Appalachia.

Mountain West Partnership (MWP), a regional collaboration of counties, economic developers, and local leaders, played a crucial role in Eco King’s decision to choose Graham County for its first North American location.
By highlighting the county’s skilled workforce, strategic location, and commitment to sustainable growth, the MWP team successfully demonstrated to Eco King that Graham County was the ideal choice for its manufacturing facility.
