Summer Entrepreneurship Camp

Posted by on May 5, 2017 in news

This summer, Jackson County rising 7th through 9th graders will have the opportunity to attend a TREP! Camp that is being offered FREE of charge to students thanks to a contribution from X-Ray Recycling Solutions CEO Jared Firestine.  This camp is being held at Southwestern Community College, and it will run from June 19th until June 23, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Lunch is included.

The purpose of this camp is to give students the opportunity to explore the world of entrepreneurship and create a business plan. Each day they will work on their business plan, and at the end of the week, they will present their plan in front a panel of “judges” in the form of a contest.  The camp is open for nomination and each candidate must submit an application. This year, there will be spots for 20 students.  This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience in entrepreneurship!  Please encourage or nominate students you know who might be interested.
