Healthcare and Economic Development
The Mountain West Partnership hosted a Healthcare and Economic Development Summit on June 5, 2019, where our regional health services partners sat down with economic development partners for a round table discussion on how these two sectors can work together to move the needle in our region. Throughout the discussion, several themes began to emerge, including Social and Community Infrastructure, Workforce, and Wellness.
The report below contains information on each of these categories as they relate to healthcare and economic development in the Mountain West region of NC, and it also contains models for success that were identified during the summit.
